So called "Right-to-Life" or other Religious based Movements

Some people who, for reasons which may or may not involve personal religious faith, feel very strongly about the tragic number of foetuses that are aborted every year from unwanted pregnancies.

We sincerely respect the feelings of people who are genuinely distressed by this sad fact.

Whilst sympathising with the emotional distress this causes some people, the author of this website, Gary Johnston, is not, however associated with any movement, religious or secular which proposes that unwanted pregnancies be encouraged to come to term for reasons that are not necessarily in the best long term interests of the mother.

So, if you have discovered recently that you are pregnant, please do not use what we say here as a reason to feel that you should take the pregnancy to term. If you are very young, have a drug problem or do not have a stable relationship with the father, do not allow others to influence you to have a baby because of anything you or others read on this website. You should seek the advice of your doctor and other professionals who are in the best position to assess your individual needs. Please, we do not want an unloved baby to come into this world for any sentimental reasons that may be erroneously attributed to what we hope to achieve.
